Bodegas Carrasvilla first entered the world of fine wines in 2010.

Located in the heart of the Ribera del Duero in the municipality of Peñafiel, this winery was founded upon the strict principle of low-volume production (50,000 bottles in full production) to ensure the highest quality.

This insistence on quality is reflected throughout the production process. The grapes are bought solely from the region’s viticulturists, selecting the older vineyards with better solar exposure, higher altitude and more suitable terrain. Vineyard inspections are carried out throughout the whole vegetative cycle, with intensive monitoring during the grape ripening process to ensure harvesting takes place at the optimal moment. When the time comes, the grapes are carefully and manually harvested using 15kg boxes.

Once the grapes have arrived at the winery, they are processed by combining the best traditional practices with the latest winemaking techniques: fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, pneumatic pressing, air-conditioned ageing rooms and bottle cellar, bottling and labelling room within the winery.

From this careful winemaking process our first wine was born:TERRALUX 2010. The first 8,000 top-of-the-range bottles hit national and international markets on September 2012.
